  1. These files may be used provided you do not alter them in any way.

  3. Included in this ZIP are:
  4. DEMOE2M9.LMP           // demo of episode 2 mission 9 skill level 4
  5. RECDEMO.BAT            // Batch file to create demos
  6. PLAYDEMO.BAT           // Batch file to play demos
  7. LISTDEMO.BAT           // Batch file to list demos you have
  8. README.TXT             // This file (but you already know that...)
  9.  
  10. These files should be unzipped with PKUNZIP ver 2.04g or later
  11. and should be unzipped into your doom directory.

  13. To record a demo using RECDEMO.BAT:
  14.  
  15. Format is: RECDEMO [episode] [level] [skill]
  16. Example:  To record a demo of episode 2 level 9 (secret level) at 
  17.           skill level 4 (ultra-violent)
  18.           RECDEMO 2 9 4
  19.  
  20. To play a demo using PLAYDEMO.BAT:
  21.  
  22. Format is: PLAYDEMO [episode] [level] [skill]
  23. Example:  To play the demo created in the RECDEMO example...
  24.           PLAYDEMO 2 9 4

  26. To get a directory of all demos you have made:

  28. Format is: LISTDEMO

  30. ***** NOTES *****
  31. 1) You must record a demo before you can play it back!
  32. 2) You must have the REG version to record or play a demo of episodes 2 & 3!
  33. 3) When you start making your demo you will only have a pistol and a prayer!
  34. 4) When making demo's without these batch files do not name them in the
  35.    following format: E1M9, E2M4, E3M2, etc.  I think that when the .LMP file
  36.    is merged with the DOOM.WAD file it creates problems.  Maybe the built-in
  37.    demos are named E1M9, E2M4, etc.
